Senior Software Engineer – Storage Infrastructure

About the role

Join Dell Technologies' Infrastructure Solutions Group in Israel to design and develop the software that powers next‑generation enterprise storage platforms. You will work in an AI‑native environment, applying Spec‑Driven Development to deliver high‑impact features for critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and own storage infrastructure and control‑path features for enterprise storage expansion, from requirements through implementation, testing and long‑term support.
• Build and maintain Python microservices using FastAPI, Pydantic and async/await patterns.
• Design and implement services that enable system discovery, provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Author and maintain detailed specifications as part of a Spec‑Driven Development process.
• Build AI agents and automated workflows to accelerate development, testing and code generation.

Required profile

• Relevant BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field from a leading university.
• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience, preferably with storage systems, infrastructure software, Linux or networking.
• Strong experience with Python (3.11+), FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio, REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with Docker, Git, pytest, ruff and mypy for development, testing and code quality.
• Comfort working in an AI‑native development environment using Spec‑Driven Development and AI‑assisted workflows.
