Senior Software Engineer (DevOps)

About the role

Join Akamai’s Large Solutions Engineering team to design and operate secure, enterprise‑grade Kubernetes frameworks that support massive cloud data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provision cloud resources using Terraform/OpenTofu and implement secure Kubernetes services.
• Deploy, monitor, and log Kubernetes workloads with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Plan and build highly available services and disaster‑recovery architecture frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering support to troubleshoot complex, cross‑functional problems.
• Manage software release stages across development and production environments.

Required profile

• Proficient in Kubernetes, Linux and Jenkins with coding experience in Python.
• Experience designing and implementing large‑scale continuous delivery solutions.
• Familiarity with AI tools/agents and cost‑effective usage.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and performance for high‑scale applications.
• Self‑motivated professional capable of working with minimal supervision.
