Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer works full‑time on‑site at HISH’s facility in Nesher, Israel. The role involves mechanical design and modeling for full‑scale equipment, from concept development through detailed design and product improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Creating and reviewing CAD models and technical drawings
• Performing mechanical calculations and selecting appropriate materials and components
• Integrating designs and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards
• Collaborating with the Engineering manager and Project managers to develop designs, resolve issues, and optimise system performance
• Mentoring less‑experienced engineers, contributing to design best practices, and participating in technical discussions with clients and partners

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering with experience in industrial machinery or conveying systems
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with industrial standards, safety regulations, and engineering documentation
• Ability to work on‑site in a manufacturing environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills with attention to detail and quality

Required skills

• Advanced SolidWorks skills for 3D modeling and technical drawing preparation
• Machine design and product design, including mechanism development and design for manufacturability
• Mechanical calculations and material/component selection
