Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Medtronic's Manufacturing Engineering function supports the development, transfer and optimisation of manufacturing processes for medical device products, working closely with Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain and Production. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer based in Yokneam on an onsite basis, you will lead and support manufacturing process development, process improvements, equipment implementation and production support, driving efficiency, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, validation and optimisation of manufacturing processes and production methods.
• Develop manufacturing solutions that improve product quality, yield, throughput and cost performance.
• Design and optimise production layouts, equipment configurations and material flow.
• Evaluate equipment performance, identify process gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with R&D, Quality and Operations on product introductions, design transfers and design-for-manufacturing.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process specifications and validation protocols.
• Use statistical process control and data analysis to monitor and improve process capability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and project support to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience supporting NPI, technology transfer or process scale-up.
• Experience developing, validating and improving manufacturing processes in a regulated industry.
• Experience with process troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Preferred: medical device, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.

Required skills

• Statistical analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement (preferred)
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent certification (preferred)
• Preferred: experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing technical decisions
