Engineering Technician - Temporary 1-Year Contract

About the role

Medtronic is looking for an Engineering Technician for a temporary, on-site position in Yokneam, Israel. The role sits within the Operations and Manufacturing function, supporting the production of medical devices used worldwide. It works with engineering and manufacturing teams to keep equipment performing well, support process improvements and ensure reliable, high-quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for manufacturing equipment, processes and engineering projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment, instrumentation and process issues to minimise production downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and collect operational, calibration, inspection, testing and repair data.
• Investigate equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
• Support process improvement initiatives focused on yield, cycle time, quality, safety and cost.
• Help implement and sustain 5S and visual management, and support workstation organisation, material flow and workplace standardisation.
• Contribute to production line layout optimisation and productivity improvement projects.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of technical experience in manufacturing, engineering support or production operations.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, instrumentation or production processes.
• Experience collecting, documenting and analysing equipment or process performance data.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures, work instructions and documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred: experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical or biotechnology).
• Preferred: Lean Manufacturing, 5S or continuous improvement experience, knowledge of equipment calibration and preventive maintenance, familiarity with quality systems and compliance requirements.
