Junior Engineering Technician (1-Year Temporary Contract)

About the role

Medtronic is looking for a Junior Engineering Technician for a temporary, on-site position in Yokneam. The role sits within the Operations and Manufacturing function, supporting the production of medical devices used worldwide. It works with engineering and manufacturing groups to keep equipment performing, support process improvements and ensure reliable, high-quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for manufacturing equipment, processes and engineering projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment, instrumentation and process issues to minimise production downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and collect operational, calibration, inspection, testing and repair data.
• Investigate equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
• Support process improvement initiatives focused on yield, cycle time, quality, safety and cost.
• Assist with 5S and visual management, workstation organisation, material flow and production line layout optimisation.

Required profile

• Ability to read and follow technical procedures, work instructions and documentation.
• Knowledge of equipment calibration, preventive maintenance and process control.
• Preferred: experience in manufacturing, engineering support or production in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharma or biotech.
• Preferred: familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement and quality/compliance systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
