Senior Data Scientist – Fraud Detection

About the role

AppsFlyer is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to strengthen Protect360, its leading anti‑fraud solution. You will work on massive mobile app event streams, applying advanced AI techniques to detect and prevent fraudulent traffic in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Mine large‑scale data sets to uncover fraud patterns and prevention opportunities.
• Develop, productionize, and monitor ML/DL models that detect fake installs and attribution hijacking.
• Design end‑to‑end pipelines—from data ingestion and feature engineering to model serving and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate needs into explainable, high‑impact solutions.

Required profile

• M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of applied data‑science or algorithmic development experience in large‑scale production environments.
• Proven ability to mentor, communicate complex ideas clearly, and own end‑to‑end solutions.

Required skills

• Python (scientific stack) and SQL.
• Big data tools: Spark, Kafka, Scala, BigQuery.
• Machine‑learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Cloud services: AWS, Airflow.
• Experience with MLOps and large‑scale data pipelines.
