Senior Backend Engineer for Large‑Scale Experimentation Platform

About the role

AppsFlyer is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and optimise the services powering its marketing experimentation platform. You will work with data scientists and product managers to turn complex statistical logic into scalable, production‑grade systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy and monitor end‑to‑end backend services for large‑scale A/B testing and analytics.
• Integrate AI workflows and advanced analytics into the experimentation engine.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, data scientists and engineers to deliver high‑impact features.
• Analyse and improve performance, scalability and stability of existing pipelines and infrastructure.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend development experience in large‑scale production environments.
• Proven ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems at scale.
• Strong ownership mindset and willingness to mentor teammates.

Required skills

• Server‑side programming in Clojure and Go (or ability to become productive in unfamiliar codebases).
• Experience with AI concepts and integrating AI tools into backend systems.
• Working knowledge of large‑scale production databases.
• Experience with public cloud environments, preferably AWS.
