Research Analyst (Sports-Tech)

About the role
Modellama is looking for a Research Analyst who lives and breathes data, especially within the sports‑tech arena. You will work closely with the research core, asking probing questions, challenging assumptions and turning large, imperfect sports datasets into actionable insights.
Key responsibilities
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries (SQL Server) to extract and transform raw sports data.
- Analyse data using Python or R to uncover meaningful patterns and signals.
- Iteratively test hypotheses, refine models and present findings to influence product and business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure analytical outputs align with strategic goals.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Strong curiosity and statistical thinking, with a passion for digging into messy data.
- Interest in sports (soccer, basketball, etc.) is a major plus.
