R&D Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Alma, a global leader in aesthetic medical technologies, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its R&D team. You will create detailed designs for multidisciplinary projects, collaborate with software, electronics, physics and NPI teams, and work closely with local and overseas subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs for medical‑aesthetic devices, including moving mechanisms, optomechanical assemblies, and heat‑exchange systems.
• Produce part and assembly drawings that support transfer to mass‑production.
• Validate supplied parts and assemblies from subcontractors in Israel and abroad.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional R&D teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
• Apply manufacturing methods such as machining, sheet‑metal fabrication, and plastic injection molding.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in multidisciplinary R&D mechanical design.
• Previous experience in a medical‑device company.
• Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• High sense of responsibility, initiative and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (including surface modeling).
• Machining techniques (turning, milling).
• Sheet‑metal fabrication (bending, laser cutting).
• Design for mass production.
• Experience with plastic injection‑molded parts.
• Knowledge of EPDM materials and applications.
