Mechanical Design Engineer – R&D Project & Design

About the role

We are a growing medical‑device company seeking a hands‑on R&D Project & Design Engineer. You will own mechanical design projects from concept through prototyping, testing and implementation, collaborating closely with R&D, QA, regulatory, manufacturing and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive R&D projects from planning to completion, building and tracking project plans, milestones and action items.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities, identify risks and dependencies, and proactively resolve them.
• Perform hands‑on mechanical design, create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Develop prototypes, support design iterations, testing and material/manufacturing‑process selection.
• Work with suppliers on technical development and support V&V, design reviews, risk management and documentation.

Required profile

• Medical‑device industry experience (required).
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development or R&D.
• Hands‑on experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, prototyping and mechanical testing.
• Excellent organizational and project‑coordination skills, proactive mindset and fluent English.
