Quality Assurance Specialist (Food Industry)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to lead and support quality initiatives within our food production plant. The role involves driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement lessons learned (A3) and conduct quality‑related incident investigations.
• Utilise the plant’s Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain related documentation.
• Qualify suppliers, review documentation and perform supplier audits according to the annual audit plan.
• Monitor and analyse customer complaints and market feedback, conduct investigations and perform trend analysis.
• Manage internal non‑conformances and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and maintain quality procedures and work instructions.
• Oversee the plant’s pest‑control program, identify seasonal trends and adjust actions.
• Support trials and pilot runs in relevant production areas.
• Provide assistance during Ministry of Health inspections and internal/external audits.
• Track changes in food regulations and ensure their implementation.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and operational‑efficiency projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology or a related field.
• Familiarity with HACCP and FSSC 22000 food safety standards.
• Self‑motivated, assertive and able to work independently in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• High level of English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders locally and internationally.
• Full proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
