QC Team Leader - Quality Control Laboratory

About the role

Johnson & Johnson's Surgery team is looking for a QC Team Leader in Kiryat-Ono to lead the daily operations of its Quality Control laboratory. The role ensures timely and compliant testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products while supporting manufacturing and product release. It is a temporary position through early 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day QC laboratory operations, including raw material testing, and set priorities and resource allocation.
• Mentor and develop a team of analysts, and support their training.
• Review analytical results, laboratory records and compliance documentation to support product release.
• Lead investigations, deviations, OOS/OOT events and root cause analyses, ensuring timely closure and corrective actions.
• Drive data trending, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Support analytical method validation, verification, transfer and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, safety standards and company quality procedures.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods, equipment and process issues, and prepare the lab for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, RA and R&D; the role is hands-on and may include occasional testing and investigation support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biotechnology or a related scientific discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory.
• Mandatory experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a significant advantage.
