Procurement Specialist / PO Processing Buyer

About the role

The Procurement Specialist / PO Processing Buyer will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for assigned suppliers, ensuring the continuity of goods and services while meeting quality, cost and delivery targets. Reporting to the EMEA Procurement Manager, the role is based in Kiryat Gat and works closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders in accordance with DSV IMS procurement procedures.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and terms to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Maintain supplier relationships and conduct quarterly performance reviews using scorecards and risk programs.
• Update supplier database, set‑up new vendors and manage price lists.
• Identify and resolve supply issues, including sourcing alternate suppliers when needed.
• Submit orders, follow up on back‑orders and coordinate with finance to expedite receiving and accounts payable.
• Generate reports from the ERP system, export data to Excel and analyse anomalies that could impact inventory or production.
• Collaborate daily with managers, site leads, inventory planners, IT and finance to support supply‑chain tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of industry experience in a purchasing or cross‑functional role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Hebrew.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to prioritize multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using an ERP system for purchase order processing and reporting.
