Procurement Assistant / PO Processing Junior Buyer

About the role

The Procurement Assistant / PO Processing Junior Buyer supports the end‑to‑end purchasing cycle for assigned suppliers. Working under the EMEA Procurement Manager, the role focuses on maintaining supplier relationships, executing purchase orders, and contributing to cost‑reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders according to established procedures.
• Negotiate pricing and lead times to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Maintain supplier database, set‑up, and price‑list updates.
• Conduct quarterly supplier performance reviews using scorecards and risk programs.
• Identify and resolve material supply issues, including sourcing alternatives.
• Submit orders, follow up on backorders, and communicate with vendors.
• Collaborate with Finance to expedite receiving, AP processes, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Generate reports from the ERP system, export to Excel, and analyse data for inventory or production risks.
• Work closely with managers, inventory planners, IT, and other stakeholders to complete supply‑chain tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of industry experience in procurement or a cross‑functional role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Hebrew.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel.
• Experience using an ERP system for order processing and reporting.
