Part-Time Boarding Parent

About the role

The Walworth Barbour American International School (WBAIS) in Even Yehuda is seeking a part‑time Boarding Parent to support its weekday boarding program. Working Monday‑Thursday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment for up to ten high‑school students living on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor students’ whereabouts and ensure a visible adult presence.
• Assist with dinner preparation, clean‑up, and share meals with students and the Director of Boarding.
• Engage students in conversation, support homework, and foster positive relationships.
• Communicate with families as needed and substitute for the Director of Boarding when required.
• Organise weekly transportation to Jerusalem on Friday afternoons.
• Enforce boarding house and school rules, follow the Boarding Handbook, and maintain confidentiality.

Required profile

• Experience working with high‑school‑aged children.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to complete child‑safeguarding training (provided).
• Preference for Hebrew speaking and/or certified teachers.
