NPI Integration Engineer

About the role

KLA, which makes inspection tools, metrology systems and process solutions for electronics, is hiring an NPI Integration Engineer in Yavne. The role sits within the Global Operations team, which works with manufacturing, supply chain, design engineering and the global supply base to develop new products. The engineer brings together mechanical, motion, electronics and software subsystems and leads system-level testing and validation from prototype through zero-series production to NPI.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the infrastructure for integrating and validating multi-disciplinary systems (mechanical, motion and motion control, scanner/optics, electronics and software) into a complete, working product.
• Lead system bring-up, integration and performance validation through the prototype, zero-series and NPI phases.
• Analyse root causes and resolve system-level integration and motion-control issues seen on the production floor and in the field.
• Build and implement integration and validation test setups, jigs and test benches to improve performance to specification.
• Work with R&D, suppliers and contract manufacturers, and represent integration in design reviews (PDR, CDR) and development gates.
• Use data-driven analysis and monitoring to detect, characterise and prevent recurring quality issues.
• Prepare integration and production files, flows and procedures, and support product transfer to high-volume manufacturing.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institute.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar integration position, preferably in an NPI environment with multi-disciplinary products.
• Hands-on experience integrating and validating complete electromechanical systems at system level.
• Strong system-level troubleshooting skills and good interpersonal skills in a multi-interface matrix structure.
• Good understanding of BOM structure and procedure preparation.
• Problem solver, team player and leadership ability.
