Director of R&D - PCB Division

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Director of R&D in Yavne. The Director leads all engineering disciplines supporting the PCB Product division, covering systems, algorithms, software and hardware. The role combines technical leadership, engineering execution and people management, works closely with product application, manufacturing and service organizations, and sits in the division's management team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and align all engineering functions in the PCB domain: systems engineering, algorithms, software engineering, physics, electrical, mechanical and controls.
• Drive the division's technology roadmap and define strong system-level architecture and integration across hardware, software and algorithms.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, methodologies and best practices, and partner with program and product management on technical direction and feasibility.
• Manage a team of 40+ engineers, develop engineering leaders and senior technical staff, and build an engineering culture focused on accountability, collaboration and execution.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Engineering or Exact Sciences (M.Sc./PhD or MBA an advantage).
• 10+ years of engineering experience in complex, technology-driven environments.
• At least 5 years managing multi-disciplinary engineering organizations and proven experience as a leader in large organizations.
• Executive-level communication and solid system-level technical understanding of software, algorithms and hardware.
