Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Ravona LTD is seeking a hands‑on Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team in Israel. You will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of customized pharmaceutical and cleanroom equipment, guiding projects from concept through customer acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop isolators, RABS, passboxes, glove‑testing systems and other custom process equipment.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design stainless‑steel sheet‑metal structures, welded assemblies, frames, doors, glove ports, piping and ducts.
• Prepare Bills of Materials, technical specifications and production documentation.
• Select mechanical components, seals, actuators, motors, bearings and pneumatic parts.
• Integrate mechanical systems with electrical, automation, HVAC and process systems while complying with GMP requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and design verification.
• Support production, machining, sheet‑metal fabrication, welding, assembly and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and international customers during FAT, SAT and commissioning.
• Manage engineering changes and maintain drawing revision control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design or machine development.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, cleanability, ergonomics and contamination‑control principles.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with R&D, automation, electrical, production, quality and project management teams.

• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and 2D.
• SolidWorks Electrical.
• Design of large assemblies, sheet‑metal parts and weldments.
• Creation of detailed manufacturing drawings.
• BOM preparation and technical specification writing.
• Engineering calculations and tolerance analysis.
