Legal, Risk, Assurance, and Compliance Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Legal, Risk, Assurance, and Compliance Counsel to provide strategic legal, privacy, and compliance guidance for BioProtect across Israel, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. The role partners with commercial, finance, HR, supply chain and operations teams to manage risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice, draft and negotiate supply, OEM, distribution and service agreements.
• Support indirect sales models, distributor lifecycle management, and advise on competition law, export control, sanctions and trade compliance.
• Manage local litigation with external counsel and support corporate governance.
• Advise on data privacy (GDPR, local laws, cross‑border transfers) and coordinate with Regulatory Affairs on registrations and licensing.
• Implement and monitor the local Compliance Management System, run risk assessments, due diligence and privacy impact assessments.
• Support internal investigations, remediation, and guide compliant interactions with healthcare professionals and channel partners.
• Oversee tender and public procurement compliance and support acquisition integration.
• Advise on distributor onboarding, contracting, oversight, termination and strengthen third‑party compliance frameworks.
• Deliver compliance training on healthcare, anti‑corruption, competition law, privacy, export control and distributor compliance.
• Partner with HR on employment law matters and complex cases.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB/LLM or JD equivalent) or related field.
• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in life sciences or similarly regulated industries.
• Experience in multi‑national/regional roles covering the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa or Central Asia.
• High‑level proficiency in risk and compliance frameworks, laws and internal governance.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
