Legal Director

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Director to serve as a senior legal partner, combining strong technical understanding with commercial judgment to guide the company’s strategic and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with General Counsel and senior leadership to translate priorities into legal strategy and execution.
• Advise on product development, data use, IP, go‑to‑market, procurement, labor, corporate matters and more.
• Support corporate governance, equity, financing and other general corporate needs.
• Identify legal, operational and business risks early and provide pragmatic solutions.
• Build scalable legal processes, templates, playbooks, approval frameworks and self‑service resources.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives and draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts.

Required profile

• Law degree with active bar admission in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of in‑house experience in global software, healthcare or other regulated businesses.
• Broad generalist background covering corporate law, product counseling, IP, AI/technology, labor and regulatory matters.
• Proactive mindset with strong commercial judgment and ability to balance risk and opportunity.

Required skills

• Extensive experience negotiating complex technology and commercial agreements.
• Track record of building or improving legal processes, systems, tools or playbooks.
• Experience with legal operations, contract lifecycle management, workflow automation or legal technology is a strong plus.
