Legal Counsel (Commercial & Privacy)

About the role

You'll work closely with product teams and stakeholders across the company on the full breadth of a regulated payment company's legal work. The role spans Neema's commercial and vendor ecosystem and privacy across the full data lifecycle, alongside practical, day‑to‑day counsel to teams throughout the company.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and support negotiation of commercial agreements such as service, vendor, partnership, data‑processing agreements and NDAs, protecting Neema’s interests while enabling growth.
• Manage the vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, risk classification, SLA implementation and periodic controls.
• Support Neema’s privacy framework, ensuring readiness for evolving Israeli and international data‑protection requirements, reviewing new products and governing data assets.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal counsel to internal teams with an emphasis on compliance and customer service, and assist with regulatory reporting.
• Handle legal aspects of fraud events and third‑party matters, including official inquiries and formal correspondence.
• Develop and maintain the legal team’s knowledge infrastructure, such as templates, playbooks and internal policies.

Required profile

• LLB and admission to the Israel Bar Association.
• Up to 2 years post‑qualification experience with exposure to commercial and/or privacy work, preferably in‑house at a technology company or in a leading law firm.
• Strong drafting skills for contracts with vendors, customers or partners.
• Full professional fluency in Hebrew and English, including precise legal drafting in both languages.
• Business‑oriented mindset able to translate legal risk into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and see them through to completion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative communication with stakeholders at all levels.
