Industrial Engineer Student Internship

About the role

We are looking for a talented, highly motivated student to join the PDC Planning organization at Applied Materials. This hands‑on role offers ownership of planning projects, the chance to solve complex business challenges, and a meaningful impact on global semiconductor and display manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of planning‑related projects and drive them from analysis through implementation.
• Support and execute diverse production and material planning activities.
• Monitor material readiness, identify gaps and risks, and drive cross‑functional actions toward resolution.
• Perform data analysis, business evaluations, and operational calculations to support decision‑making.
• Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and actionable plans.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and develop practical, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D.
• Present analyses, recommendations, and project outcomes to relevant stakeholders and management.
• Support strategic and operational initiatives across the Planning organization.

Required profile

• Third‑year B.Sc. student in Industrial Engineering and Management.
• Availability to work at least three days per week on‑site at the Rehovot campus.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.
• High level of initiative, ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to independently manage tasks and projects from definition through execution.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong collaboration, influencing, and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analytics or visualization tools is a plus.
