Hardware Qualification Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a highly talented Hardware Qualification Engineer to join its multidisciplinary R&D team in Rehovot, Israel. You will be the technical master of our semiconductor hardware products, driving qualification and implementation of new technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Participate early in development phases to optimize design alternatives and define validation experiments.
• Lead risk assessments from module to system level and conduct comprehensive testing on simulators and real tools.
• Present performance analyses, recommend specifications, and approve final designs for field release.
• Develop validation tools and travel to customer sites for complex issue troubleshooting.

Required profile

• B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in system engineering and semiconductor capital equipment life‑cycle.
• Strong analytical capabilities, quick learning, and ability to lead complex tasks independently.
