About the role
Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Devices Software Engineer to develop and maintain software that directly controls cutting‑edge semiconductor inspection hardware. You will work within the R&D team of the Process Diagnostics and Control unit in Rehovot, Israel.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain device drivers and platform flows for advanced metrology and inspection systems.
- Integrate and test software with real hardware components, collaborating closely with hardware and system design engineers.
- Implement and optimise device control logic for high‑performance, reliable operation.
Required profile
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong background in Java development; Python experience is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience with electronic control boards and board‑level integration.
