Engineering Team Lead

About the role

Aidoc is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to build and lead the FirstRead team, a new product‑focused group within the Imaging Platform. The team will own end‑to‑end delivery of AI‑driven radiology report generation, shaping product direction and technical architecture from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering across backend, frontend, AI infrastructure, DICOM pipelines, and new services to deliver FirstRead.
• Translate fast‑changing product needs into clear technical direction, priorities, and executable plans.
• Drive architecture decisions, balancing speed, robustness, and platform considerations.
• Collaborate with other TLs, product, and AI teams to integrate with existing platform services.
• Build and nurture the FirstRead engineering team, establishing culture, processes, and mentorship.

Required profile

• Senior hands‑on software engineering experience building complex, end‑to‑end systems.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams while staying technically involved.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
• Strong system design fundamentals and experience with distributed production systems.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and product‑business orientation.
