Director of Revenue

About the role

The Director of Revenue will own global revenue recognition and strategy for a diversified SaaS, professional services and perpetual license portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure ASC 606 compliance, drive accurate forecasting and partner with sales, legal and finance to enable scalable, profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global revenue recognition under US GAAP (ASC 606) for complex SaaS, license and service arrangements.
• Define and govern SSP (sales‑service‑pricing) strategy across products, regions and channels.
• Partner with Sales, Legal and Finance on deal structuring, non‑standard contracts and deal‑desk processes.
• Oversee revenue systems (CRM, billing, ERP) to ensure compliance and scalability.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual revenue close, disclosures and executive reporting.
• Own SOX controls, auditor relationships and revenue‑related KPIs.
• Drive global standardization, automation and continuous process improvement.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing, multi‑location revenue team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 8+ years in revenue accounting or finance within a SaaS/software environment.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing global, multi‑location teams.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606, SSP methodologies and complex contract review.
• Proven track record scaling revenue processes in high‑growth tech companies.
