Director of IT Operations

About the role

Rapyd is looking for a seasoned Director of IT Operations to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of its global IT infrastructure and business applications. You will drive AI initiatives, oversee complex migrations, and ensure the technology backbone supports rapid fintech growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
• Identify AI opportunities, implement AI‑powered solutions, and automate key business processes.
• Plan and execute large‑scale cross‑functional IT projects, migrations, and cloud transitions with minimal operational impact.
• Define and enforce IT standards, processes, KPIs, SLAs, and operational goals.
• Evaluate, adopt, and integrate new technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, HR, and other units to deliver technology solutions that enable growth.
• Own vendor management, software licensing, and strategic technology partnerships.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing IT teams.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience with IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems.
• Proven track record delivering complex IT projects, system implementations, and organizational migrations.
• Experience deploying AI, automation platforms, and productivity tools.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and independent work capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
