DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Cisco Silicon One, part of Cisco's infrastructure team in Israel, is looking for an experienced DevOps Infrastructure Engineer. You will help accelerate engineering velocity by building and maintaining scalable, reliable infrastructure and automation across CI/CD, infrastructure as code, databases, observability and system optimization, so that engineering teams can develop, test and deliver software faster.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and continuously improve scalable DevOps infrastructure and engineering workflows
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Manage Infrastructure as Code and configuration management with Puppet, Ansible or similar
• Deploy and orchestrate containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes
• Maintain on-prem Linux infrastructure and system images
• Build observability solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK/OpenSearch and related tools
• Create dashboards, alerts and SLO/SLI frameworks, and data collection pipelines for metrics, logs and traces
• Automate anomaly detection and incident response to reduce MTTD and MTTR
• Work with software, IT and lab teams, and promote security, reliability and operational best practices
• Write technical documentation, runbooks and system design docs

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering or a related role
• Strong Linux administration fundamentals in on-prem data center or hybrid cloud environments
• Proficiency with Bash and Python for automation
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
