Data Engineer – Senior Data & BI Specialist

About the role

Medison is seeking a motivated, business‑oriented Data Engineer to join its global Data & BI team. You will design, develop, and maintain modern data pipelines and AI‑powered solutions that support critical business processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries and data transformation processes.
• Integrate data from internal and external systems, including APIs, databases and third‑party platforms.
• Own data quality, monitoring, reliability and governance processes.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve data issues and deliver reliable data solutions.
• Design, develop and operationalise AI‑driven data products, including anomaly detection and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering, Data Operations or a similar role.

Required skills

• Data Warehouse architecture and data modelling best practices.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience with AWS (2+ years).
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake Cortex (2+ years).
• DBT (2+ years) and ETL/ELT tools such as Rivery or Fivetran.
• Python programming (advantage).
• Building and deploying AI/ML or Generative AI solutions.
• Experience with LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and AI agent architectures.
• Familiarity with Apache NiFi, Amazon Bedrock and semantic layers in AI‑driven solutions.
