Commercial Transactional Lawyer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Transactional Lawyer to join our international team on a remote basis. You will provide strategic legal support for complex commercial operations, ensuring that agreements and corporate transactions align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, service, licensing, distribution, partnership, NDA, and joint‑venture contracts.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial risks, contractual obligations, and compliance under applicable Australian laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align agreements with operational goals.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and reorganisations through legal due diligence and documentation.
• Analyse business strategies from a legal perspective and deliver practical recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of commercial legislation and contract law developments.
• Manage legal matters independently while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for non‑legal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, corporate law, or a related legal field.
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law, commercial regulations, and business practices.
• Proven ability to draft, review, negotiate, and advise on diverse commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with international teams.
