Commercial & Legal Coordinator

About the role

Jerusalem News Syndicate is looking for an organized Commercial & Legal Coordinator to support the CFO in contracts, purchasing, vendor management, legal administration, insurance, and corporate matters across Israel and the United States. This hands‑on position offers a great chance to develop commercial, legal, and business expertise in a fast‑growing news agency.

Key responsibilities

• Review commercial proposals, partnerships and business opportunities, highlighting key terms, deadlines and potential issues.
• Compare pricing, payment terms and commitments; prepare clear contract and proposal summaries.
• Assist the CFO with contract negotiations, signatures, renewals, amendments and terminations.
• Coordinate with external attorneys when needed and support routine legal, regulatory and compliance tasks.
• Help draft and update agreements, letters, employment and consulting contracts.
• Manage purchasing processes: obtain quotes, compare vendors, negotiate terms and track approvals.
• Maintain and analyse spreadsheets containing financial, purchasing and commercial data; present findings to management.
• Support finance with budget reviews, cost analysis and ensure contractual commitments are recorded.
• Assist with corporate secretarial duties, insurance administration and general office tasks.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and common‑sense problem solving.
• Self‑starter who can take initiative and move work forward.
• Interest in business, commercial deals and legal processes.
• Legal studies or experience in legal, commercial, finance, procurement or business environments is a plus.
