Clinical Research Associate (Freelance, 0.4 FTE)

About the role

TFS HealthScience, a global mid-size Contract Research Organization (CRO), is looking for a Clinical Research Associate to join its Clinical Development Services (CDS) team. The role is freelance, at 0.4 FTE, and works alongside colleagues to help customers achieve their goals. The CRA initiates, monitors on-site and/or remotely and closes out study sites in line with company policies, SOPs, GCP and ICH guidelines, sponsor requirements and regulatory rules.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor clinical trials on-site and remotely according to TFS and/or sponsor SOPs, GCP and ICH guidelines, ensuring subject safety, data integrity and quality.
• Verify protection of study participants through informed consent and protocol compliance.
• Review electronic or paper CRFs and source documents for validity, completeness and accuracy.
• Verify proper management and accountability of investigational product.
• Prepare monitoring visit reports, document findings and follow-up actions, update tracking systems and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Maintain site documentation, support eTMF and ISF compliance, and update CTMS and other project systems with accurate site information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical research experience or academic background related to clinical trials or clinical development.
• Understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Fluent English, strong written and verbal communication, and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a matrix team.
