C++ Software Engineer

About the role

Cisco's Silicon One team is expanding rapidly and seeks a talented C++ Software Engineer to help shape the next generation of ASIC products. You will work on cutting‑edge silicon architecture that powers web‑scale and service‑provider networks, collaborating with both software and hardware experts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance C++ software that drives complex network infrastructures.
• Gain deep knowledge of world‑class silicon, programming models, and ASIC design flows.
• Partner with architecture and design teams to define features for future ASIC generations.
• Contribute to embedded development and hardware‑software integration efforts.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional or academic software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on C++ or embedded development experience, or solid knowledge of ASIC design and hardware development processes.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to quickly learn interdisciplinary domains.
