Senior DevOps Engineer (Python, AWS, Kubernetes)

About the role

Harmonic is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and scale the infrastructure that powers its next‑generation virtualized broadband solutions. You will work closely with senior engineers to automate, monitor, and improve cloud‑native platforms that enable multigigabit connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and extend Kubernetes‑based and container platforms on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines with a focus on Debian packaging, container orchestration, and cloud‑native deployments.
• Design and develop Python modules, tools, and services to manage CI frameworks, packaging processes, and operational automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve complex issues across build systems, APIs, and development environments.
• Maintain and improve automated build and test pipelines using Jenkins and Argo Workflows.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code practices using Terraform, ArgoCD, and Helm.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in Linux (Debian) environments.
• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Hands‑on expertise with Linux, containers, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Strong proficiency in shell scripting and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and effective communication skills.
• Experience leading Agile projects, including sprints and Scrum ceremonies.
