Assistant Controller

About the role

WINT is a fast‑growing startup that uses IoT hardware and software to help companies reduce water waste and prevent costly leaks. The Assistant Controller will join the finance team, reporting to the Finance Controller, and play a key role in preparing US GAAP financial statements and driving automation.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation of US GAAP consolidated financial statements and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Ensure revenue recognition compliance with ASC 606 and maintain internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to design and record appropriate financial results.
• Drive automation initiatives and prepare internal financial reports, especially SaaS data.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process and perform monthly actual‑vs‑budget analysis.
• Handle ad‑hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.

Required profile

• CPA qualification with experience at a Big 4 firm (mandatory).
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, including internships.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑changing environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Experience in a high‑tech company is a plus.

Required skills

• CPA certification.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
