Head of Audit – Israel

About the role

The Head of Audit – Israel will lead the internal audit function for Citi’s Israeli operations, ensuring robust risk and control assessments across the franchise. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on audit execution to support Citi’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the country audit assurance plan in line with Citi IA methodology, addressing regulatory landscape and key risks.
• Deliver high‑quality audit reports, internal audit and regulatory issue validation, and governance committee updates on time.
• Provide audit oversight for other Middle East and Africa (MEA) countries as required.
• Lead and develop a medium‑sized audit team, fostering quality delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Represent the IA function in regulator discussions and ensure Citi meets its regulatory commitments.
• Collaborate with IA product, QA, and MI teams to monitor progress, address findings, and improve audit data quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience, including at least 8 years in banking audit.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIA, CPA, CISA, CFA).
• Native Hebrew speaker with professional‑level English (written and spoken).
• Proven ability to lead auditors of varied backgrounds and build a culture of trust and accountability.
• Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills for interaction with senior management and regulators.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Data analysis and risk‑based audit methodology.
• In‑depth knowledge of Israeli banking regulations and internal control frameworks.
