Algorithm Team Lead - Optimization

About the role

Fetcherr is looking for an Algorithm Team Lead – Optimization to head its Price Optimization team. You will combine hands‑on technical work with people management to build and scale the data infrastructure that powers real‑time pricing and machine‑learning products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists and data engineers delivering robust, high‑performance data pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain distributed batch and streaming workflows.
• Define and enforce best practices for data quality, validation, testing, and observability.
• Own the evolution of Fetcherr’s data architecture in line with product goals.
• Manage sprint planning, task breakdown, code reviews, and performance feedback.
• Contribute hands‑on to critical development tasks and architectural decisions.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow the data science engineering team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist.
• Experience designing and maintaining large‑scale data platforms (hundreds of TBs).
• 3+ years of people‑management experience leading data engineers.
• 4+ years of data‑science experience with strong Python programming and advanced SQL skills.
