Technical Buyer – Machining & Subcontracting

About the role

UCT is seeking a Technical Buyer to manage machining tools and subcontractor activities for the semiconductor supply chain. The role involves coordinating procurement both locally in Israel and internationally, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining inventory accuracy in a fast‑changing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct procurement and management of machining tools and subcontractors in Israel and abroad.
• Execute purchase orders, follow‑up with multiple internal and external interfaces.
• Handle overseas procurement, shipping issues, coordinate shipments and track deliveries.
• Maintain inventory reliability through regular counts and controls.
• Track order status and delivery timelines.
• Utilise SAP for procurement processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
• Familiarity with global commercial Incoterms (Import/Export).
• Experience in overseas procurement (mandatory) and inventory management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining processes.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier agreements.
• High level of English proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP procurement module.
• Experience using inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of import/export Incoterms.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understanding of machining tool specifications and subcontractor coordination.
