Senior Development Officer

About the role

IsraAID is seeking a Senior Development Officer to join its DevComms team in Tel Aviv. You will lead the creation and coordination of funding requests, donor communications and compliance documents for a range of philanthropic and humanitarian donors, while supporting global fundraising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Write grant applications, proposals, reports and other donor‑facing materials for foundations, federations, individual donors and humanitarian institutions.
• Lead the development of complex funding proposal packages in close coordination with humanitarian missions worldwide and HQ colleagues.
• Support global fundraising teams and missions with proposal drafting, reporting and digital tools.
• Research, map and identify new donor audiences and funding opportunities.
• Manage strategic portfolios, typically covering 1‑2 donor groups and 1‑2 projects or workstreams.
• Coordinate logistics, operations and follow‑up for donor visits to field missions.
• Enter and maintain donor data in Salesforce, IsraAID’s CRM system.
• Present to visiting donor groups and at relevant conferences or events.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native English speaker.
• Professional‑level spoken and written Hebrew.
• 4‑6 years of grant‑writing experience with a proven record of high‑quality proposals and reports in English.
• Experience in project or portfolio management.
• Ability to translate program data and budgets into compelling donor narratives.
• Experience using a donor CRM, preferably Salesforce.
