Physicist – R&D for Next‑Gen Scanning Electron Microscopy

About the role

We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Physicist to join our R&D team developing the next‑generation scanning electron microscopy (SEM) system. The role involves designing SEM columns, detectors and novel imaging techniques to advance semiconductor metrology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop top‑edge scanning electron microscopes, detectors and new imaging techniques.
• Perform experimental laboratory work, electron‑optics simulations, and model electron‑matter interactions.
• Lead investigations of physical problems and collaborate with cross‑functional R&D disciplines.
• Work with external companies and research institutes on joint projects.

Required profile

• PhD in experimental or applied physics (post‑doc advantageous).
• Experience as an experimental physicist with laboratory work.
• Proven ability to conduct simulations using Python or Matlab.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• MATLAB.
