Material & Logistic Specialist (Temporary Position – 1 Year)

About the role

We are looking for a Material & Logistic Specialist to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials from suppliers to production sites, ensuring that manufacturing schedules are met. This temporary, one‑year position supports GE HealthCare’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage material ordering to maintain a minimum two‑week inventory level.
• Ensure inventory accuracy across ERP systems.
• Reschedule materials to support production priorities, including pull‑ins and push‑outs.
• Investigate and resolve daily material shortages through root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate material planning for Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) as required.
• Analyze supply data and recommend improvements for material availability.
• Develop tools and processes to predict and prevent shortages.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics and other cross‑functional teams.
• Support Lean initiatives, continuous‑improvement activities and operational‑excellence projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience in material planning, supply chain, production planning or a similar operations role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• High level of English, both written and spoken.
