Senior Buyer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of materials, supplies, machinery, and services for its state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities in Rehovot, Israel. The role involves close collaboration with planning, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure inventory levels, delivery schedules, and supplier performance meet the company’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier operations including forecasts, purchase orders, FGIs, ECOs, obsolescence, MRP actions, transitions, repairs, service agreements, and on‑time delivery.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with planning and engineering to maintain target inventory levels.
• Lead supplier quality initiatives in partnership with manufacturing and engineering departments.
• Expedite and ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Resolve material‑related accounting and receiving issues.
• Provide management with updates on supplier status, action plans, and long‑term improvement strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field (preferred).
• 4‑7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Service‑oriented mindset with strong experience working with suppliers and internal customers.
• Independent team player with high negotiation and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English (written, spoken, and reading).
• Program management experience and commercial orientation.
