Fraud Data Analyst

About the role

As a Fraud Data Analyst you will join the growing Fraud Analytics team at Checkout.com, working at the intersection of data analysis, fraud strategy, and automation. You will collaborate with engineering, data science, and commercial teams to develop scalable fraud detection solutions in a fast‑paced, data‑rich environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine fraud detection strategies by analyzing complex datasets and identifying fraud patterns.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and commercial stakeholders, to build scalable fraud solutions.
• Conduct deep‑dive risk analyses using multiple data sources to assess fraud threats and define innovative solutions.
• Monitor and automate fraud detection processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data analytics.
• Payments fraud experience and experience working with external stakeholders or merchants.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to extract insights from large datasets.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• SQL – ability to write and optimise complex queries.
• Python (Pandas, etc.) for data analysis – a plus.
