Intelligence Analyst - Fraud Researcher

About the role

The Alterya team at Chainalysis focuses on AI‑powered fintech and threat intelligence to protect individuals from fraudulent transactions. As an Intelligence Analyst and Prompt Engineer you will design and optimise prompts for large language models, extracting the data needed for fraud detection. You will work closely with engineers and product teams to adapt our blockchain data platform to emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Build LLM prompts and data flows to retrieve relevant fraud data.
• Research the web to identify and categorise types of scams and scammers.
• Analyze and monitor data pipelines using SQL.
• Work with big‑data databases to support large‑scale investigations.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop data‑driven solutions that detect scammers effectively.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience as a data analyst.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Good interpersonal communication and quick grasp of new data systems.
