Software Verification Engineer

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to join the Surgical Operating unit in Herzliya. You will work on verification and integration of complex medical systems for lung cancer diagnosis, collaborating with software, algorithm, and hardware teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute software verification activities, creating test plans to validate functionality, accuracy, and performance.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python or MATLAB, and continuously improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including software, algorithm, hardware engineering, quality, and regulatory—to ensure successful testing outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Biomedical Engineering).
• At least 1 year of experience in software verification, algorithm validation, or system integration, preferably in medical devices.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to work in lab environments (live/tissue animal, cadaver, fluoroscopy).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• MATLAB scripting.
• Experience with test automation and multidisciplinary system verification.
