Senior Software DevOps Engineer

About the role

Medtronic Cranial, Spine and Therapy (CST) is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its R&D organization and support medical device and cloud-based solutions across the Aible Ecosystem. The role is a hands-on individual contributor who designs, builds and operates secure, scalable and reliable public cloud platforms used by the CST Division, including the Aible Ecosystem, the Converged Planner app and Gaitway. It is based in Caesarea, Israel, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain AWS cloud platform services, infrastructure-as-code solutions and automation frameworks.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines, container platforms and deployment automation.
• Implement cloud security controls such as identity and access management, encryption, logging, monitoring and compliance guardrails.
• Integrate cloud services and platform capabilities that meet business, operational and security requirements.
• Develop observability, incident response and operational support capabilities to improve reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, deployment and production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity and quality teams to modernize platforms and improve software delivery.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, engineering standards, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years, or advanced degree and 4+ years, of experience in DevOps, cloud platform engineering or site reliability engineering.
• Experience with AWS in production environments.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation in enterprise environments.
• Preferred: experience building reusable platform services across multiple products, regions or business units, and experience in regulated medical device, healthcare software or SaMD environments.

Required skills

• AWS and Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
• Preferred: Python, JSON, APIs, Terraform, Ansible, GitOps and infrastructure-as-code.
• Preferred: knowledge of cloud security, governance and compliance frameworks.
