Senior Software Engineer (.NET, Linux, Docker)

About the role

Medtronic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Herzliya to join a team of engineers in the Surgical Operating unit, which develops medical devices focused on lung cancer diagnosis. The role involves designing, developing, testing and deploying software for complex products and systems, working with software, hardware, systems and algorithm teams and owning solutions from architecture through deployment and support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications using modern .NET and C# technologies.
• Develop, optimize and support software running on Linux-based systems.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems and algorithm engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Design and implement cloud-native architectures using KEDA for scalable workloads and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across development, testing and production environments.
• Build, deploy and maintain Docker-based containerized applications.
• Drive technical decisions and own solutions from architecture through deployment and lifecycle support.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies and software quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience developing applications with modern .NET and C#.
• Experience designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting complex software systems.
• Experience developing and deploying solutions in cloud environments.
• Preferred: experience in medical device, healthcare technology or other regulated environments, and hardware-software integration.
