Hardware Qualification Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Hardware Qualification Engineer to join its multidisciplinary R&D team in Rehovot. You will be the technical master of hardware products, driving qualification and implementation of new technologies for semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate early in development phases to optimize design alternatives and define validation experiments.
• Lead risk assessments from module to system level and evaluate impact on performance and integrity.
• Conduct comprehensive testing on simulators and real tools, analyze results, and present conclusions.
• Approve final designs and specifications for field release and develop validation tools for system performance evaluation.
• Travel to customer sites for new design implementation and troubleshooting of complex system issues.

Required profile

• B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in system engineering and semiconductor capital equipment product life‑cycle.
• Strong analytical capabilities, quick learning, and ability to lead complex tasks independently.
