Director of Business Operations & Travel

About the role

Gilat Satellite Networks is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee budget control, drive cross‑organizational operational initiatives, and manage the global travel function within its Commercial Division. This senior position reports to Global Operations and partners closely with Finance, FP&A, and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead budget control across the entire Commercial Division, including monitoring, analysis, adjustments, and collaboration with Finance and FP&A.
• Develop and continuously improve methodologies and tools for project‑based budgeting and budget tracking.
• Provide senior managers with a holistic financial and operational view to support execution of strategic priorities.
• Act as the central focal point for cross‑functional operational initiatives, serving as project owner for organization‑wide projects.
• Own and manage the global travel domain, including policy, governance, systems, vendors, and leadership of travel coordinators worldwide.
• Define, track, and manage KPIs for the Global Operations group.
• Prepare materials and presentations for quarterly business reviews and internal management forums.

Required profile

• Academic background in Economics, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (mandatory).
• Proven experience managing significant budgets and financial processes in a complex organization (mandatory).
• Experience in internal project management and leading cross‑organizational initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to see both details and the big picture.
• Experience working in a global or multi‑site organization (advantage).
• Fluent English, written and spoken (mandatory).
